Vertimowing is the process of removing built-up thatch and excess organic matter from your lawn using a specialised machine with vertical blades. This allows water, nutrients, and oxygen to reach the soil more effectively, encouraging stronger growth.
It’s best carried out in the warmer growing months, typically spring or early summer in Perth, when the grass can recover quickly and fill back in.
When done correctly and the lawn is maintained at a nice, low height, you won’t need to vertimow for another 2 – 5 years.
Every property is different and various factors such as access, thatch level, and size affect the price.
Our minimum is $450 and we generally price it per square metre. A rough estimate is $8 / square metre.
